Spring is in the air!

For a few days anyway. From the looks of things for this week we get two days of 70+ and sunshine then back to under 40 with rain/snow. :( I am keeping my fingers crossed that Spring Break next week will be nice and sunny! Things can change. Right? Hubby J can only get two days off at the end of the week. We are planning a road trip to Branson, MO and a few days at Silver Dollar City. (WOOHOO Lots of roller coaster riding for this Mommy Girl!)  Last Spring Break we did the same and ended up snowed in our hotel room. For the kids sake and my sanity I am hoping that things are much better this year.
I have been itching to get out and start walking again. We were finally able to get in a good long walk.

Here is my "not so little any more" Rock Star showing off on our evening walk.  He makes everything fun!

I haven't posted an MOMS moment for a long while so I guess it's time: I was running around frantically looking for my phone. I kept telling my mom "I just have to find my phone! Because I am lost without it." After almost tearing the house apart looking for it I finally realized.... I was talking to my mom on it! Apparently I am lost with my phone as well. Yes, my mom who had the first case of MOMS in our family didn't realize it either ;)

Busy week!

Mother's Day weekend was great! On Saturday I did a photo shoot with one of my besties and her adorable family. Then it was off to see my parents. We took my mom dinner & made homemade cookies and cream ice cream. (YUM!) My niece brought my 2 month old great-niece to visit and I got to smooch on chubby cheeks.

Sunday was pretty laid back. Hubby J fixed me a yummy brunch of eggs-in -a-basket with coffee in my new cup that looks like a Nikon lens. (LOVE IT!) We went fishing (one of my favorite things) in the evening. Only caught 2 perch but was still fun just relaxing by the lake. For Mother's Day I got seasons passes for the family to a theme park that is just a few hours away and a trip already planned for Memorial Day weekend! I LOVE roller coasters and rides of all kinds. I am still just a big kid!

On Monday I just did some  photo editing and tried to clean this constantly cluttered house.

Tuesday I went on Rock Star J's Kindergarten field trip to the zoo and park. I had so much fun learning about the animals and spending some extra time with the boy. He was so quiet. I kept asking him what was wrong. He told me he was trying to be good.

Last night Mr. Rock Star J lost his first tooth! He was so excited that he started jumping around and laughing. I have to admit I shed a little tear. My baby is growing up way too fast. The tooth fairy was so generous by leaving $5.00! I tried to stay up to see if  Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is the tooth fairy but alas sleep overcame me ;)

MOMS moment: Yesterday Drama Queen S and I were  grocery shopping. I asked her to get me a bag to put tomatoes in. She looked at me funny. I again asked her to go get me a bag.( I was a bit more snappy this time) Then she pointed beside me and of course there are the bags right there almost touching me. Drama Queen burst out laughing at me. You just wait girlie it will set in on you some day...

His first tooth lost!

When cooking meatballs in a slow cooker.....

it helps to actually plug in the slow cooker! Yes, that is my MOMS moment of the day (so far.) Nothing was ruined I caught it after about 30mins and I had  precooked the meatballs so they were still warm. It gave Drama Queen S a good laugh. She better have fun now because MOMS will set in on her someday! :) No mater how much she says it won't.

Just 4 more days until the guy in the red suit comes to visit! That means 2 days till the boy turns 6!! All ready now (I think!)

It is 11:30 AM and.....

I have already told Rock Star J to put his rear end away four times!! Yep, he is going through a mooning phase. I don't ever remember telling Drama Queen S to put body parts back in her clothes when she was this age. Will I survive the 6th year with a boy? LOL

MOMS

When we were teenagers my niece, nephew and I (Yes, I have nieces and nephews close to my age) use to make fun of our moms. Mostly when they would forget to do something, do something totally "off the wall" or just something we could make fun of. We made a joke out of saying that our wonderful mothers had MOMS AKA to us as simply MOM Syndrome. We all swore we would never do those kind of things when we had children. No! Never!
A few years ago my nephew  (who is now married and has children) told me something stupid that he did one day. I reminded him of MOMS and told him I thought he was catching it! Of course we got a good laugh out of it. At that time I tried to say "I don't have it I am perfect, no silly mistakes." But alas,  I have decided that I  have full blown MOMS (I now call  Majorly Overworked Mom Syndrome or
Majorly Overworked Man Syndrome depending on who you are ;) I blame my children and Hubby J Just as I blame me and my siblings for my wonderful mom having it. (Just kidding!)
I pretty much have an MOMS episode every day. So I thought I would share them here. It might just help all the other MOMS sufferers out there!

MOMS moment of today: I turned the dryer on several times to make sure the clothes inside didn't get too wrinkled before I could fold them. I finally got time to fold them after the kids & Hubby J were in bed. Discovered there were no clothes in the dryer at all! The sad thing... I have done this before! I took a moment to laugh at myself then closed my eyes and danced a bit!

First post!!!

"I will keep up this blog! I will keep up this blog!" I have to keep telling myself that over and over. I have tried to blog several times and never seem to keep going with it. This time I will try my best to blog onward! So many things I have yet to learn about the blog world. I may get excited about something new to me that others have known for years. Just laugh at me and go on. I am use to it my kids & hubby do it all the time :)
